Department of Ecology
 

The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Vessel and Oil Transfer Inspector (Marine Transportation Safety Specialist 3) position. This position will work out of our Vancouver Field Office in Vancouver, WA.

The Vessel and Oil Transfer Inspector position conducts vessel, oil transfer, and bunker operations monitoring inspections; reviews mobile facility (Class 2) response plans, operations manuals, and training and certification programs; inspects regulated fuel terminals (Class 3) and regulated marinas (Class 4); monitors pre-booming compliance; and assists with the outreach and risk assessment work of the Prevention Section.

We are looking for applicants with a positive team attitude who excel at working independently and who have strong technical skills related to the marine transportation system, vessel operations, vessel engineering, vessel inspection, and stakeholder engagement.
